TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2014

Hey y'all... well its been a long long time since my last post and I want to sincerely apologize for being nothing else than 'lazy'. Yes, I'm guilty of being as we all Nepali's become at some point, starting things off and not going through with it but as everyone else, we grow and learn and I'm going to compensate my 3 month long absence from the blogging atmosphere by writing a super long post.. The reason for my absence was primarily my engineering exams and of late I've been involved in a few modelling projects (yes, I'm a freelance model )  that have kept me really busy..
I just finished modelling for one of the biggest Nepali Shows, the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2014 , and as a treat, this blog post will not be about my outfits, but the outfits I donned of the super talented and up and coming designers of Nepal. Seriously, I must say that the quality of the clothes and designs from the Nepali designers are slowly coming upto par with the international level. So many of the clothes I wanted to buy for myself. I loved each and every dress I modelled. Here are a few of my favourite designs with the dsigners mentioned.
The first photos was my absolute favourite, Tenzin Tseten Bhutia, it fit me so well, the finish was great, really classy from his collection titled 'Bazaar', truly proffesional work. Second was of course one of the popular designer of late, Subexya Bhadel with her collection 'Up town Girl'. The outfit I wore wasclassy, chic, trendy and tailored perfectly. Rest are all designs that I absolutely adored , very new and chic.
TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2014 was ammalgamation of the best designers, hairstylist, makeup artists and of course models under one roof. It is hailed as the best annual fashion ahow in all of Nepal and for a good reason. The 4 day extravaganza showcased some amazing deaigns that truly left me awed . Plus working there was a blast. It felt like a vacation than work.
On that note, I bid adieu from this extremely long post and promise to update more often with some amazing blogposts to come.

Lazy winter day outfit 2014

Those mind-numbingly cold and lazy winter days when u just cant seem to bring yourself to dressing up..heres how I winged it---tights with an oversized jumper and of course the cutest pair of socks you could find ;)

Back to school winter outfit 2014

College is in itself very hectic, u dont have time to dress up, so here's my very easy wintery back to school outfit

Pair some tights with boots and add a chunky scarf and ur done.

Winter must-haves: 2014

So many trends ongoing this winter, hard to keep up...but my personal winter must haves are 1) fleece jacket reason being it keeps you extremely warm, its like wearing a blanket literally and its gonna help you in these chilly winter days, 2) mirrored sunglasses, and I KNOW this has been a trend since fall but it doesnt seem like its gonna fade, so yeah a total must-have...gives that edge to even the simplest of outfits....
I styled my green fleece jacket with green mirrored sunglasses...

A pop of ORANGE.

Today we were given a farewell from our college...The reason being We were supposed to have finished 4 years of engineering grad school, be a certified Electronics and Communications Engineer in my case, and being able to write Er. in front of your name (lol, i know it sounds silly) but (oh sigh!) if it was really that easy... So this being a formal event and also winter I was in such a fix what to wear without looking too flashy and also for my outfit not to look drab if i went too casual... So below is what i wore...
I wore a black turtleneck paired with black tights...added wedge knee-length boots to give it a bit of edge...and a grey tailored coat...My favourite part of the outfit is this Orange pashmina shawl that my mom gave me...I turned it into a circle scarf by stitching the ends together cause then its so so easy to wear....this pop of Orange just gave a bit of contrast and colour to an otherwise everyday outfit...
